With his victory at the Transat Jacques Vabre on board Alla Grande Pirelli, Ambrogio Beccaria contributed to the collection of over 5 tonnes of plastic.
During the regatta, Beccaria, ambassador of the organisation One Ocean Foundation, with which the Italian Marine Industry Association has signed the marine protection code of ethics Charta Smeralda, sailed 5381 miles which will become the same number of kilos of plastic waste collected thanks to the More Miles Less Plastic initiative.
This is the second time Ambrogio Beccaria has joined the More Miles Less Plastic campaign. The first was last year when he took part in the Route du Rhum, which he finished in second place and collected over 4 tonnes of plastic waste, especially in developing countries.
