Prestige, a brand under the French giant Beneteau, has shifted its focus to monohulls, set to join the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show with the new M8 built at the Groupe Beneteau Italia shipyard in Monfalcone and inspired by the joys of cruising and, as the claim goes, by the art de vivre thanks to its 275 square metres of living space.
At 19.82 metres long with a maximum beam of 8.85 metres, the new Prestige M8 is a model truly dedicated to holiday outings with its mobile stern platform that widens the cockpit or, when lowered, creates the beach club or the tender lift. Another stand-out feature is the large bow lounge furnished with sofas and sundecks.
From the cockpit, which is furnished with freestanding furniture, a staircase leads to the flybridge with wet-bar and the bridge, equipped also with sofas and seating overlooking the aft deck.
The saloon, directly connected to the cockpit, is a large open space lit by large windows, where the design and furnishing choices are those of a true seaside villa. In the forward section between the bridge and the galley is the descent into the 30-square-metre owner’s suite.
For guests, depending on whether the galley is on the main deck or the lower deck, the solutions include a super-VIP cabin in the port hull and two double cabins or three double cabins. The unit runs on two 600 hp Volvo Penta V-Drives for 21 knots of top speed.
