Lightweight, durable and with large spaces. The Ocean Class, a 50-foot catamaran (15.75 metres in length by 7.98 in maximum beam) from the French shipyard Catana, will be making its debut at the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show via the company’s importer Adria Ship.
The brand-new Ocean Class, which like the entire Catana range is built using carbon infusion technology to produce boats that are both light and resistant, is a reference point in the Grand Voyage sector thanks to its new standards of comfort and performance.
Available with a variety of layouts offering three or four double cabins with two, three or four bathrooms, the Ocean Class presents two new features: a single wheelhouse accessible from the starboard side with a double central sofa, a helm equipped with a console, controls and electronic display, and a sliding entrance window which, when open, creates a single open space between the saloon and cockpit.
The Ocean Class is equipped with a 90 square-foot mainsail and 50 square-foot self-tacking jib. The auxiliary engines can be two, either 45 or 57 Hp. Both the fresh water and fuel tanks have a capacity of 800 litres.
