Her name is Drifter B and she is the first Bertram 35 to be built at Baglietto’s Carrara facilities thanks to the partnership between Bertram Yachts and Baglietto.
“We now have access to a plethora of resources, extensive knowledge and yacht building experience, as well as a tremendous deal of respect for the Bertram brand,” commented Tommy Thompson, Bertram’s vice president of sales, commenting on the partnership with Baglietto, which represents a valuable addition to Bertram’s production capabilities.
Drifter B made her first appearance in Portofino during the Spring Regattas where her owner was busy aboard his own Swan 98.
“The client was looking for a boat with timeless, sea-worthy appeal that he could customise to accompany him when racing and for weekend trips. Drifter B was built for just that. I guess the scene wasn’t all that different from when Dick Bertram sat at the helm of his Bertram 31 during the races of the 1960s and 1970s,” stated Tommy Thompson.
