THE MIDDLE EAST’S LEADING INTERNATIONAL EVENT IS A KEY PLATFORM FOR PROMOTING THE ITALIAN YACHTING INDUSTRY ACROSS THE GULF REGION.
The Italian Marine Industry Association and Italian Trade Agency will take part in the 2023 edition of the Dubai International Boat Show scheduled to take place from 1st to 5th March at the new Dubai Harbour.
Currently at its twenty-ninth edition, the Dubai International Boat Show is the most relevant international boat show in the Middle East and plays an important role in the promotion of the yachting industry across the Gulf region.
As part of the Promotional Plan for the internationalisation of the Made in Italy brand and for the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show (21st – 26th September 2023), supported by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and realised by the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Marine Industry Association will be taking part in the Dubai show with a delegation of Italian businesses.
Participation in the Dubai International Boat Show is also a key opportunity to present to the world the 63rd Genoa International Boat Show, organised by the Italian Marine Industry Association through its operational company I Saloni Nautici, which this year will be held from 21st to 26th September 2023.
The Dubai Boat Show opening ceremony was attended by the Italian Trade Agency’s Dubai Director Amedeo Scarpa and Vice President of the Italian Marine Industry Association Andrea Razeto.
“The Dubai International Boat Show, an event the Italian Marine Industry Association has been taking part in for 17 years now, is a premium, strategic opportunity for our sector as a whole,” commented Andrea Razeto. “The UAE market is a point of reference for the entire Gulf area, one of the main export destinations for the Italian yachting industry, which stands out for its excellence and quality across all segments – from superyachts to equipment and components“.
The UAE market is showing consistent growth and the Dubai International Boat Show plays an important role in promoting the yachting industry throughout the Gulf region, an area characterised by a high rate of purchasing power.
In 2021, exports of “recreational and sports units” from Italy to the United Arab Emirates achieved a value of approximately €39.1 million (source: the Edison Foundation’s data based on ISTAT findings as processed for the Italian Marine Industry Association’s publication “Nautica in Cifre LOG 2021” – a series dedicated to “Yachting industry figures”), registering an increase in value between 2020 and 2021 of 261.5%.
The joint activities of the Italian Trade Agency and Italian Marine Industry Association will continue in March with their participation in the Palm Beach Boat Show, scheduled to take place from 23rd to 26th March 2023.
