Genoa Boat Show under the sign of solidarity

In the charity evening organized by the Genoa Boat Show, the Ministry of economic development and the ICE, on October 1 at the Genoa Stazione Marittima, 22,000€ was raised to support the medical research at the Giannina Gaslini institute.

500 persons and about 22,000 euro raised. This is the result of the Charity evening “The Boat Show for the Gaslini institute” – sponsored by the Boat Show, the Ministry of economic development and the ICE agency, thanks to the sponsoring partners Petit Bateau and Dodo – Thursday 1 October at the Stazione Marittima of Genoa. “We are very happy to have opened the 55th Boat Show by promoting this important evening and I’m so proud to see that the city has answered to our call with a warm participation” – Commented Carla Demaria, UCINA Confindustria Nautica president.

The aim, completely fulfilled, was to raise founds to sustain medical research in the well known pediatric scientifical institute for hospitality and cure, which has always been a referral point on a national and international point of view in many fields. “Thank you, on behalf of all the Gaslini Institute, to UCINA , the Genoa Boat Show and to all those presents at the Opening Night of the 55th Boat Show, for promoting this joint initiative in honor of the Gaslini: what gave me strength for the future of our beloved hospital was the great love that has been concretely proven. I confirm my personal guarantee that all proceeds from the evening will be spent in research and hope to return next year to give account to the many friends who have supported us” said Pietro Pongiglione , President of the Giannina Gaslini Institute.
